The work on monitoring of the tigers that have settled after being released in the zakaznik (game reserve) "Zhuravliny", Jewish Autonomous Oblast (JAO), Russia, is continued.
According to the data collected from camera traps, the tigers Boris and Svetlaya are in an excellent physical condition which indicates their successful hunting experience and sufficient food resources. As the tiger Boris and the tigress Svetlaya attend the same places and attractors which are especially important for tigers’ life, such as marking trees, regular routes, and lairs, this is another evidence that they share the same territory.
The obtained photo- and video-materials demonstrate the well-being of the released tigers, as well as the most interesting behavioral features of other species of animals inhabiting the zakaznik "Zhuravliny".

The monitoring works are conducted by the PRPO "TIGER Center", the Hunting Department of the JAO Government, the A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution RAS, the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), the staff of the "Bastak" and "Khingan" nature reserves, and also supported by the "Phoenix" Fund and the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).
